COVID-19 Information

As your Primary Care team at Associated Physicians of Western New York (APWNY), we are acutely aware of concerns that the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic is causing within the community and globally. Now that coronavirus has been confirmed in Erie County, we anticipate that in the coming weeks coronavirus cases in Erie County will continue to increase.

Our APWNY team is prepared to manage the needs of our patients and the community. Our goal is to maintain our ability to manage routine needs and care of our patients, while still addressing this evolving health risk. The New York state and Erie county health departments have advised us that patients suspected of coronavirus or coronavirus contact, should not be coming into the office for assessment at this time. Effective immediately APWNY nurses will be taking all calls requesting appointments for the evaluation and treatment of fevers, cough, and shortness of breath. When necessary, we will recommend and facilitate testing and/or evaluation according to the current health department guidelines for these individuals.

Together we will get through this as a community!
